Coffee Culture is brewed for connection under the guise of coffee. We've been meeting in cafes for centuries. Today is no different. Coffee Culture, the podcast explores the meetup. If you are a coffee enthusiast, maybe seeking Modern Love on a coffee date, we'll want some health hacks. We'll dig into that too. I'm Holly Shannon. Come wrap your hands around a hot cup of connection with me on coffee culture.

Hello coffee lovers. I'm here today to uncover the skin enhancing benefits of coffee based spa treatments. I think we've all been waiting for this one. Coffee is a popular ingredient in spa treatments because it is rich in antioxidants and has a number of benefits for the skin. Some popular coffee based spa treatments include scrubs, facials and wraps. A body scrub that uses ground coffee is designed to exfoliate and smooth the skin. The caffeine in the coffee can also help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Some are exotic because they use an aromatic spices like a coffee and cardamom scrub. A facial treatment uses coffee to brighten and tighten the skin. The antioxidants and coffee can help to protect the skin from environmental damage and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, the skin on your face and neck are fragile, and you should only consider an exfoliation treatment with a seasoned facialist. Another type of facial is a coffee berry facial and this is an extract that's used to brighten and protect the skin.

It is said it helps retain moisture. The coffee barrier is actually the coffee cherry which is the fruit of the coffee plant. Using the extract in this case is better than a finely ground coffee that might exfoliate on that very delicate skin. A massage that uses coffee infused oil can stimulate blood flow and reduce inflammation. The caffeine in the coffee can also help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. A body wrap that uses coffee to detoxify and firm the skin is another really cool way. The caffeine in the coffee can also help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. One example is the cafe and the coffee and cognac wrap that uses coffee and cognac to firm and smooth the skin. This will make your skin feel like it's actually tightening up.

I once stayed and worked at a beautiful property in Park City, Utah. They had a distillery on the premises and the bourbon whiskey was incorporated into the spa treatments specifically into a pedicure. But I really wanted to drink it not put it in the water surrounding my feet. I've seen raps that include caramel and chocolate as well. And I think in both of those cases, I'd prefer to just eat those things.

Okay, let's talk about our energy level. Honestly, I noticed my productivity waning around mid afternoon, and I found a solution. So I thought I would share it with my coffee culture family. I started taking magic mine with my coffee at about three o'clock every day. It's this little green elixir and my newest productivity hack. It makes my coffee do more so I can do more. And I believe it's the neuro tropics. It's got Lion's Mane in it, and it truly makes me sharper. I'd like you to feel on your game every day. So I've partnered with magic mind to put together a tremendous offer for you. In the next 10 days, you can get up to 56% off your first subscription, go to magicmind.co/coffeeculture, and it gets better. If you use the promo code HOLLYS20 You get an additional 20% off that subscription. Magic Mind has matcha noortropics and adaptogens and this two ounce shot changes the game and guess what it tastes like pineapple juice to me. Go get yours now I'll put the code in the show notes, productivity and clarity await you with Magic Mind.

It's worth noting that coffee treatments are not suitable for everyone, especially if you have sensitive skin rosacea, eczema or allergies to coffee. So it's always best to consult with a spa professional before you try a coffee based treatment. On a parting note here, remember that your skin is the largest organ of your body. What you put on it is absorbed and will enter your bloodstream. I point this out because you want to be sure that an entire body wrap or deep soak should use quality ingredients that are organic. There are a lot of chemically laden lotions and potions out there. And I personally can get over hand soap with a cheap manicure. But we should have a discerning eye when paying for an expensive spa treatment with scrubs and wraps.

Now, let me know. Do you know of any spas with coffee related treatments you'd like to share? Or have you had a really great experience that you want to tell me about? Please DM me on Instagram.
